The World is Jumping is a celebration. When people jump, they are excited, they are elated, they are in a state of maximum expression. Capturing this moment can show us what’s always inside, always there and waiting to come out.
The idea started when I took a trip to visit my sister in San Francisco. We were near her apartment in Alamo Square. We started having some fun with the pictures and the angle of the shot made us look like we were on top of the world. So we started jumping and trying to capture that sense of flying high.
The idea has only grown. Everywhere I go, I look for spots to do “jumping shots”. My goal is to travel around the world and capture images of people in this perfectly frozen state of weightlessness.
